Purpose:

Approval is sought to submit a transport bid to the ‘Levelling Up’ Fund with a request for delegated Authority to make subsequent amendments to the proposed schemes following further discussions with constituent Local Authorities and stakeholders.

 

Decision:

The LCR Combined Authority agreed that:

 

(i)          the proposed approach to bid for the Levelling Up Fund be approved as follows:

Birkenhead Central Gateway - £21.823m

St Georges Gateway - £13.424m

Maritime Corridor - £2.277m

Local Contribution - £3.752m

 

(ii)         delegated authority be granted to the Interim Executive Director for Strategic Delivery and Commissioning to bid and finalise negotiations of detailed terms of the funding and assocaited agreeements in consultation with the Combined Authority Monitoring Officer and Combined Authority Treasurer and make changes to the bid before the 18 June 2021 submission deadline.
